Day 6

Saturday 12/12/2020:

Completed second day of 1 min cold bath , it is becoming more addictive .

Breathing : completed 45 breaths . Feels better.

Two things more I have noticed . I had to focus on some stuff , did almost 5 deep breath ,in and out . IT WORKS !! I did had amazing result .

It was raining and boy I loved it even when it’s freezing out here . Resistance to  old has definitely increased .

I am thinking to try dipping in freezing lake very soon.

Day 5

Thursday 12/10/2020

Did my first 1 min cold bath. Seems difficult at first and I was watching my Fitbit but then starting flow with water , it went fine and like other times I would have gone for more !

Breathing : completed 40

No noticeable change , but it feels good regardless .

Day 4 : Bath

Day 4:

Wednesday 12/9/2020

Today I went for 50 seconds , felt like doing more , but I will give myself more time. Totally missed the breathing , I need to be more regular.

Today for first time I thought to introduce it to my 6 year old kid. I asked him if he can take a cold mug of water at the end of bath . He agreed , I told him that it will need lot of strength and he was in for it ! I poured on him at the end and to my surprise he managed to take it. But what I noticed after was more surprising.

After bath he mostly takes too long to dress up and complains about feeling cold , but today it was different , he went on and dressed up without  holding on to his bath towel for long. Not sure if this was the cold bath effect , but I have never seen him doing this . I have told him we will do that challenge again and he's all in for it .

Day 3 - first day for breathing

Day3: Tuesday 12/8

Though this post is happening on Wednesday but I am reporting about Tuesday 12/8
I missed the continuity but did catch up.
Bath:

Took 40 seconds . Wim hof was right , it's very addictive . I felt like going for more . But the experience is amazing. I felt like if I don't do it my bath is not complete .

I also noticed a small change in my resting heart rate , here's the image from my Fitbit app :
There was a dip on average resting heart rate when I didn't missed and it went back up when I missed . Lesson learnt DO NOT MAKE GAPS .

Breathing:
I also did the breathing . Took almost 40 breath , why almost . Because when you're concentrating on breathing it seems you'll mess up counting . In India people use some bead counters , it seems boring but I guess it's super simple and effective and cheap . If o get that will post a picture . Breathing went fine , tingling does happen , lightheaded ness too , but as he said breath into those I kept doing it . Nothing major change but it feels good anyways.

Day 2

 Day-2

I was unable to count correctly last time, using Siri in bath was not very useful. This time I wore my fitbit Charge 3 in bath and set that up to count 30 seconds.

It was tough for first 15 seconds , but AMAZINGLY I went on and completed 30 seconds . But I didn't stopped there. I went on and figured I should stay more. I almost completed another 15 seconds.

No ear redness which I experienced the first day.

Feeling --> Absolutely charged up.

Next plan: I will start the breathing techniques too.

First 15 seconds

I was motivated enough to try the cold bath method which Win Hof talk about in his book . Unknowingly I did that multiple time while I use to go gym ( pre-corona times PCT) . So I was hoping this should be not be difficult .

There I went in evening around 7:00 pm 12/5/2020 . IT WAS ABSOLUTELY SHOCK TO THE BODY.

But somehow I controlled myself , and guess what I stretched to ~20 seconds.

Aftereffect:

It felt good. Don't know why , but it feel good.

My ears were super red all of sudden and remain that way for few hours. Will have to find out why later maybe. I will ABSOLUTELY do this till it shows effect.

Readings:

Haven't taken the heart beat readings which was suggested , but will take soon in future days.
